The Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) congratulates the new federal cabinet on its official swearing-in.

We especially welcome the appointments of Shafqat Ali as President of the Treasury Board, Julie Dabrusin, Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Tim Hodgson as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Joël Lightbound, Minister of Government Transformation, Public Works, and Procurement, and Gregor Robertson, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure. These roles will be pivotal in shaping a more sustainable, resilient, and affordable future for all Canadians.

We’ve also had the pleasure of previously working with Anita Anand, Minister of Foreign Affairs, François-Philippe Champagne, Minister of Finance and National Revenue, and Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture and the Minister responsible for Official Languages. We extend our congratulations on their portfolios.

As Canada advances its economic and housing goals, this cabinet’s leadership will be critical in delivering long-lasting and sustainable solutions. CAGBC is committed to working collaboratively with all ministers to support the adoption of high-performing green buildings, drive innovation in Canada’s building sector and larger economy, and create healthier and more resilient communities.
