National Issue Accelerators

Accelerator groups bring together members who support CAGBC’s vision and want to tackle specific issues and opportunities. These groups will provide the insights needed to drive positive change in Canada’s built environment through discussion and collaboration.  Current accelerator groups include:

Sustainable Materials: This accelerator is a cross-industry working group of product manufacturers, real estate owners, construction companies, designers, and more. Together, we are advancing sustainable materials, transparency, and improving procurement practices for Canadian projects.

Low Carbon Construction: This accelerator will foster a collaborative environment for general contractors and affiliated stakeholders to identify opportunities for emissions reductions on Canadian construction projects. Centred on the sharing of industry-wide best practices, this accelerator will explore advancements in technology and illustrate the role general contractors play in delivering low-carbon projects.
