Project teams with residential projects registered under LEED v4 BD+C: New Construction (“NC”), LEED v4 Multifamily Midrise (“Midrise”), or LEED v4 Homes and Multifamily Lowrise (“Homes”) can adopt select credits from LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily. The credits available for substitution are noted in the LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily Guide.

New workbook replaces individual forms:

new, single workbook is now available for LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily that replaces the individual separate Excel forms which were a previous requirement for any project substituting in a credit from this rating system. Project teams wishing to substitute in a LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily credit for their LEED v4 residential project can access this workbook online and fill out the relevant credit of this workbook to demonstrate compliance (along with relevant supporting documentation). Previously, project teams were required to request the relevant form needed from LEED Coach Canada, so having a single workbook available online offers a time saving step.

Additional supporting materials required:
Aura sur le Square – Phase 1, LEED BD+C: Multifamily Midrise v4, Gold

Note that project teams are also required to upload any supporting materials needed to demonstrate compliance with the credit substitution. Relevant additional supporting documentation are noted in LEED Residential Verification and Submittals, organized by credit. All material for the selected substituted credit must be uploaded to the project in LEED Online to demonstrate compliance.

As a reminder, note that LEED v4.1 Residential: Multifamily is a beta rating system and is only available for credit substitution in Canada and the US; that is, projects cannot register under this rating system version.
