A new decarbonization pathway toolkit is now available. Minoro (from the Latin, ‘to reduce’), provides a stepwise approach to managing carbon in a building project. It offers guidance at each stage in the life cycle of a project, noting key actions and responsibilities. Created by Grimshaw, in partnership with the World Business Council for Sustainable Development and supported by a several green building councils worldwide, including CAGBC, this tool is now freely available. It targets asset owners, investors, design teams, consultants, contractors and building operators.

Along each step, Minoro provides regional and international resources. Its online tool can sort resources by country, project team role, or project stage. Additionally, there is a downloaded toolkit that offers a detailed template for tracking carbon responsibilities, carbon opportunities, and an overall carbon management plan.

The Minoro tool is meant to be updated as more resources are offered; users can provide suggestions for new resources or other feedback through the tab on the right-hand side of the tool page.
