Over the comings months, CAGBC will be expanding the project information publicly available in the Project Database for Zero Carbon Building (ZCB) Standards certifications. The database will include the performance year for ZCB-Performance projects, as well as project results such as the operational carbon emissions, embodied carbon intensity, onsite fuels used, energy use intensity, thermal energy demand intensity, and peak demand for all ZCB certifications. The database is heavily used by design professionals and others. We’re excited to add to the available information.

Additionally, teams will notice that all new projects will acknowledge a Certification Agreement during registration. As participation in the ZCB Standards continues to grow, the certification agreement will set expectations for new users and allow CAGBC to clearly outline the responsibilities of each party. A copy of the Certification Agreement is available in the Technical Resources library for reference.

Remember that project teams can add to the Project Database profile. Projects that have a description and photos are more likely to be featured in CAGBC’s newsletter and marketing initiatives. To expand your project’s profile, simply log into MyProjects. There, you will see a list of certification projects where you are an assigned team member. Open a profile and use the “Edit Profile” button towards the bottom of the individual project summary. As soon as a project is registered you can add photos or renderings, a description or abstract, and the organizations involved in the project. Certification details will be added at the time of certification.
