CAGBC has made important corrections to the Zero Carbon Building – Design v3 Workbook and the Zero Carbon Building – Design v4 Workbook.

Updates were made to correct issues identified through user feedback and discovered during review. These changes focused on fixing formula errors and improving overall functionality to ensure the workbooks remain reliable and user-friendly. For a detailed list of the corrections, please refer to the Version History tab included in the workbooks.

As a reminder, ZCB-Design v3 projects registered in June 2024 or later must use the workbook released in June 2024 or this newer version. We recommend using the most recent version of the workbook for the best experience.

The ZCB-Performance Workbook was also updated in May 2024. ZCB-Performance projects that began their performance year after May 2024 must use the most recent version posted on the CAGBC website.

CAGBC is committed to ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of the tools we provide to support the industry’s journey toward zero carbon buildings. If you have any questions or suggestions for further improvement, please do not hesitate to contact us at zerocarbon@cagbc.org
