CAGBC’s Board of Directors plays a critical role by providing strategic oversight and leadership for the organization. Serving on the Board offers a unique opportunity for established industry leaders to strengthen CAGBC’s impact and support our mission of accelerating energy-efficient, low-carbon, and resilient buildings across Canada.

Nominations for available seats on the Board are now open.

Who are we looking for?

CAGBC seeks experienced professionals who bring relevant expertise, sound judgment, and a demonstrated commitment to advancing sustainable buildings in Canada. Board members are drawn from across building-related industries and from all regions of the country, reflecting the breadth of CAGBC’s membership and mandate.

How does the nomination process work?

CAGBC’s Nomination Committee is responsible for  preparing a slate of candidates for the Board of Directors elections. This year, the Nomination Committee is accepting submissions to fill seats from the following three sectors:

  • Design, Construction & Supply Chain (1)
  • Real Estate Owners, Developers and Managers (2)
  • General Interest / At Large (1)

The Nomination Committee is responsible for ensuring that CAGBC is well governed and effective with a slate of candidates that meets eligibility requirements, competencies and criteria. We are committed to Board diversity and inclusion and encourage qualified professionals from all backgrounds to apply.

Experienced leaders meeting the nominating criteria are invited to submit their application by February 20, 2026 (11:59pm, PST).
