CAGBC is pleased to announce that we received a terrific response to the Call for Presentations for Building Lasting Change. At this time, we are looking for volunteers to review and score sessions for the Technical Stream and the Business Stream. We greatly value the expertise of our members to help us shape a leading-edge educational program at the conference.

BLC will explore how measurable performance and resilient value creation are reshaping the Canadian building sector. With tighter development margins, accelerated housing delivery, and an increasing emphasis on resilience and long-term operating costs, organizations must demonstrate credible, data-supported performance that aligns with capital-market expectations and climate objectives. BLC’s Business and Technical streams will feature insights into sustainable finance trends, LEED v5 and ZCB implementation, retrofit strategies, transition planning, and performance verification.

As a BLC Program Committee member, you would be responsible for:

  • Reviewing and scoring all submissions in the stream of your choice to ensure that education sessions and speakers meet the highest quality and innovation consistent with our conference objectives;
  • Adhering to the review timeline to ensure submission scores and comments are finalized in alignment with the schedule established by CAGBC;
  • Participate in up to two committee calls lasting approximately 90 minutes each;
  • Maintaining confidentiality about the review process.

For your efforts with helping us build a world-class learning program, we are happy to offer you a discount for a full conference pass, which includes access to all sessions, forums, keynote presentations, networking, social events and the Awards Gala.

To avoid any conflict of interest, Program Committee applicants whose companies have submitted to the Call for Presentations for Building Lasting Change will not be selected.

If you are interested and available to review and score submissions during the month of February, please complete this form, expressing your interest by no later than end of day February 6, 2026.
