DURATION: 1 hour, approved for LEED BD+C GBCI CE hour(s)
This course covers the importance of an initial site assessment to determine the expected waste streams and quantities in order to provide a waste management plan. Site organization for proper waste separation (including on very constrained sites) will be covered, as well as the contract scope for the primary waste hauler. Participants will learn about the proper documentation required for products that fall outside the primary waste hauler’s contract. This session will highlight the credit changes from LEED 2009 to LEED Version 4, and will consider the regional differences experienced by projects located in different parts of Canada.
