Materials used in a LEED v4 Homes Platinum Project

DURATION: 1 hour, approved for LEED Specific Homes GBCI CE hour(s)

Indoor air quality is very important. On average, people in industrialized nations spend significantly more time indoors than outdoors and most of that is in their homes. Unfortunately most modern homes contain substances that are potentially hazardous to our health. These range from normal dust to major irritants from chemical vapor off-gassing from the newer synthetic building materials being used today. This webinar focuses on what building materials will have a detrimental effect on your home air quality and outlines the safer alternatives that were used to build the first LEED v4 Platinum Home in Canada.

This course is delivered by Mike Reynolds, a LEED AP Homes and Green Rater. Mike is also a longstanding environmental activist, a former home builder and the co-founder of Ecohome.net, a comprehensive web resource that has established itself as a trusted voice in Canada's green building community.
