Introduction to LEED v4 and the Integrated Design Process

Course Highlights
Learn about the LEED rating system and the specific program requirements and terminology used within the LEED framework. Topics include: Minimum Project Requirements (MPRs) for LEED certification registration; selecting the appropriate LEED Rating System based on project scope; and the use of the Integrated Design Process (IDP). The course also covers the importance of establishing a LEED project boundary and number of building occupants, and how to find the LEED related information you need.

Textbook
While it is recommended that students have access to the LEED v4 BD+C Reference Guide, it is not essential for this course. Students can complete the course by accessing the free rating system and online credit library. Please note, however, that subsequent courses in the LEED Strategic Practices program will require the reference guide, which contains information additional to the rating system's online credit library and serves as a main source of information for LEED professionals everywhere. You can purchase a year subscription to the web-based LEED v4 BD+C Reference Guide from the USGBC's website here.
