Using Integrated Project Delivery to Build Greener

Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) refers to the collaborative approach that spans the design and construction delivery processes. Each member of the design and construction teams has a stake in how other project team members perform; if everyone delivers quality service on time, then everyone shares in the financial rewards; if something doesn’t go as planned, then the risks are also shared.
Collaborative design and construction delivery can be one of the keys to building more sustainably when all team members share a more holistic investment in a project. In this session, Jen Hancock will share some of the foundational elements of IPD, why it is different than more traditional delivery methods, and how it can enable the green building industry to achieve higher design and building targets. She will share some real-life experience of using IPD on projects, including outlining some of the rewards felt by all members of the project team
