|HVAC and Architectural Interaction-New Rules of Thumb
THIS COURSE IS NO LONGER FOR SALE, PLEASE CONTACT EDUCATION@CAGBC.ORG FOR ASSISTANCE
DURATION: 1 hour
This session will introduce a new way to consider envelope performance and how it relates to HVAC systems selected in the pursuit of low energy buildings. Energy efficient HVAC systems often have technical and practical limits with respect to their peak design day heating and cooling
output. Peak design day heating and cooling loads are significantly impacted by the enclosure performance. We’ll review HVAC systems that are typically used in very high energy performance buildings and endeavor to create a building design language that bridges between architectural and HVAC designers. The goal is to provide a framework that can be used in early design stages to improve the integrated design process.
This course is taught by Steve Kemp of MMM Group, a WSP Company.
