CaGBC’s report A Roadmap for Retrofits in Canada: Charting a Path Forward for Large Buildings, found that retrofitting large buildings in Canada has the potential to achieve greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions of 51 percent by 2030.
While the macro-level case of building retrofits in terms of energy cost savings and GHG reductions is well understood, individual property owners, municipalities, government agencies, and firms do not have access to information to inform evidence-based decision-making for building retrofits at the individual building or portfolio level. To help address this, CaGBC plans to undertake a decarbonization retrofit costing study, and to engage the services of a consultant firm or one or more consultants with expertise in building engineering and financing. Interested applicants should email Laurna Strikwerda at firstname.lastname@example.org for the full text of the Request for Proposals (RFP). Key dates are listed below. We look forward to hearing from you.
