PCL Construction: CaGBC Silver Level National Sponsor

The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) thanks PCL Construction for being a Silver Level National Sponsor in 2018. PCL is a group of independent construction companies focused on large commercial, institutional, industrial and civil construction projects. Canada’s largest construction contractor, PCL also offers construction services for smaller special projects.

PCL is a strong supporter of green building and CaGBC. Along with its Silver Level National Sponsorship, it is a Gold Sponsor of CaGBC’s Ottawa Chapter, a Silver Sponsor of the Atlantic, British Columbia, Greater Toronto and Manitoba Chapters, a Bronze Sponsor of the Alberta and Saskatchewan Chapters. In addition, it sponsored the Welcome Reception of the 2018 Building Lasting Change with WorldGBC Congress Canada conference.

As the voice of green building in Canada, CaGBC works closely with its national and chapter members to make every building greener. CaGBC reduces environmental impacts from the built environment through project certification, advocacy and research, and has provided green building education to more than 45,000 professionals across the country since 2002.

CaGBC is the licence holder of the LEED green building rating system in Canada and developed the country’s first Zero Carbon Building Standard. CaGBC and Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI) jointly own GBCI Canada, which accelerates green building market transformation in Canada through a number of initiatives, including Arc, the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB), Investor Confidence Project (ICP), Parksmart, SITES, TRUE and the WELL Building Standard.

The CaGBC National Sponsorship program was developed to provide the green building industry with opportunities to showcase their efforts to reduce the environmental impact of the built environment. Sponsors of CaGBC can reach more than 4,000 individual chapter members and 1,200 national member organizations who are involved in designing, constructing and operating buildings, homes and communities in Canada. Organizations interested in becoming sponsors in 2019 can contact Sarah Burns, CaGBC Vice-President of Marketing and Communications at 613-288-8097.
