Verification Services

Members, industry stakeholders and governments often seek CaGBC’s in-house expertise to support independent performance and program verification. CaGBC is an Investor Confidence Project (ICP) Quality Assurance Assessor (QAA), vetted to perform reviews of projects seeking Investor Ready Energy Efficiency (IREE) certification through GBCI Canada.

ICP Quality Assurance Assessor

ICP requires independent third-party Assessors to review building retrofit project analysis and implementation plans. This review helps ensure building owners, investors, and all project stakeholders can have confidence that successfully reviewed projects will deliver on their predicted energy savings.

As an ICP QAA, our experts compare project information against ICP Protocols to ensure compliance with IREE requirements. The quality assurance review is a necessary step to achieving IREE certification. CaGBC provides its recommendation to GBCI Canada, which determines and issues IREE certification.
