Product Profiles

Products and manufacturing processes are evolving as the demand for transparency and disclosure increases across the green building marketplace.

EPD, HPD and other third party verifications are becoming common place, making it easier for project teams to understand what is in the products they are selecting and the manufacturing processes involved.

Project teams need to find building materials and technology that meet the need of building owners as they increasingly adopt LEED v4 and energy benchmarking practices across their portfolios. Manufacturers want to be at the top of the list when their customers begin to source products for new projects. Now, manufacturers, who are CaGBC members, can do exactly that. The new LEED v4 Product Profile aims to connect manufacturers in the green building sector with product specifiers, project teams and decision makers early in the planning stages.

We want to shine a spotlight on the products and materials that can be used in projects targeting LEED v4 certification and help make the process for finding these great products easier for everyone. Each month, we’ll profile another product starting with products that the CaGBC used in our own Vancouver Office project.
