Irena Stankovic, Director, ESG Strategy Integration, CAPREIT
Irena's career in commercial real estate has been remarkable in part due to her incredible and diverse set of mentors. Having had the privilege of being mentored by some of Canada’s leading commercial real estate practitioners, she is thrilled to share her learning and experiences with the next cohort of rising talent in our ever-evolving industry. Holding over 10 years of industry-related experience, her specialization centers on developing, leading and integrating sustainability policies, practices and programs across international portfolios spanning over 40 million square feet across residential, office, retail and industrial assets. Her work experience focuses on driving operational performance through portfolio-wide conservation efforts, building-level certifications, supply chain management and stakeholder engagement. Rooted in consulting, she led sustainability practices both at the landlord (Triovest) and tenant level (TD Bank), before undertaking her most recent responsibilities at CAPREIT as Director, ESG Strategy Integration. In addition, she is an active and elected board member of the CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter since 2018. I welcome the opportunity the support the continued professional growth of the rising talent within the CaGBC membership.
