Benchmarking is critical for effectively managing buildings and energy and provides a foundation for decision-making about energy use. It also helps owners document energy and cost savings and look for measures to improve efficiency, based on past performance. This ½-day interactive session focuses on the benefits of energy benchmarking and how it can improve the future performance of a building – ultimately cutting energy-related costs, while maintaining occupant satisfaction. Participants will gain hands on experience using the Energy Star Portfolio Manager, to collect and analyze performance data.
Following this workshop, participants will be able to:
• Identify how to analyze data from Energy Star Portfolio Manager.
• Analyze benchmarking data to identify facilities that are underperforming.
• Compare energy benchmarking results from different properties.
• Identify factors that impact energy performance.
• Create a targeted approach to improve their energy performance for their building an/or portfolio of buildings.
While this course has been primarily designed for public sector organizations and building owners, other wanting to find out more about energy benchmarking data analysis may also find this workshop valuable.
This course is delivered by Will Marshall and Stefan Tylak of Equilibrium Engineering.
