Join the CaGBC for an afternoon of green building education. Learn more about LEED, Zero Carbon buildings and Retrofits.
We will begin at noon with a lunch and keynote: Going Further, Faster with Your Deep Green Retrofit by Eric Chisholm of Purpose Buildings.
Breakout session on CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard, NL’s climate strategy for buildings and sessions on local retrofit projects will follow.
This afternoon of green building education will be of interest to any individuals seeking a better understanding of LEED and green building. This includes: architects, interior designers, nonprofit organization representatives, product manufacturers, facility managers, engineers, building owners / developers, industry stakeholders, and real estate agents.
About Eric Chisholm:
Eric Chisholm is Principal and Co-founder of Purpose Building – an employee-owned enterprise created in 2018 to accelerate Real Estate toward planet-positive performance providing owners, managers and designers with solutions for financially successful, healthy buildings and communities that fit a circular, low-carbon economy. Eric’s experience delivering carbon reduction strategies, portfolio planning, energy audits, retro-commissioning, and LEED certification has supported hundreds of individual properties across Canada and portfolios representing tens of thousands of properties. Eric was named an Emerging Leader in Canada’s 2016 Clean50 and is a Certified Energy Manager with the Association of Energy Engineers.
About Fin MacDonald:
Fin MacDonald is the Manager of Zero Carbon Buildings at CaGBC.
Fin started his career in green buildings and sustainability in 2012 after spending five years in the financial sector. Over the past six years he has delivered sustainability consulting services for various projects related to carbon accounting, energy benchmarking, and green building rating systems. Fin represents the CaGBC as a subject matter expert in zero carbon design and operations through ongoing dialog with stakeholders and the media. He is responsible for the broad adoption of the program and for driving reductions in the carbon footprint of buildings through collaboration with industry, governments, utilities, and other stakeholders.
Note: There will be a ½ day LEED v4 Core
Concepts and Strategies workshop held immediately before this event. The workshop requires separate registration.
