Natural Resources Canada formed the High-Performance Building Community of Practice (HPB-CoP) in late 2017 to stimulate a national discussion on effective ways for the building sector to strive towards an eventual goal of net-zero energy. This initiative complements and supports a number of government and industry efforts, including the Pan-Canadian Framework on Clean Growth and Climate Change, CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Building Standard, BOMA Canada’s Net Zero Challenge awards program and certification initiatives such as Passive House and the Living Building Challenge. These efforts all contribute to our national progress towards a net-zero energy performance ideal and the HPB-CoP was created to build on that momentum.
The High-Performance Building Community of Practice is intended to foster idea-sharing and discussion amongst leading architects, designers and other key stakeholders who share a commitment toward net-zero energy/carbon design. The HPB-CoP functions primarily through regularly scheduled webinars, but CaGBC is very pleased to provide this excellent opportunity for its very first face-to-face meeting.
This special event will begin immediately after the Closing Plenary session. Refreshments will be served during the meeting.
Join us on Thursday, May 30 in Vancouver, from 4:45 p.m. to 6 p.m.
