Women in Green – Leading with Purpose

At the end of the day, it’s not so much about what you do, but about why you do it. CaGBC is introducing a Women in Green breakfast at Building Lasting Change to examine the power of purpose to shape our lives, our careers and our changing world.

Climate change is the challenge of our lifetime. Women in the green building industry across diverse industry sectors play a key role in helping Canada forge pathways to a zero-carbon future. Yet women in green represent a minority of the green building industry workforce, particularly in leadership roles.

Join us for this special event at Building Lasting Change as we set the stage for a series of Women in Green events across the country. The CaGBC is committed to continuing the conversation around women and diversity in the green building sector.

Join us on Thursday, May 30 in Vancouver, from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

for the inaugural Women in Green breakfast, where we will delve into the many ways that women lead with purpose to embrace diversity, inspire others, and enable transformational change.

Hear how female senior executives and leaders navigated their career paths and integrated “purpose” into their projects, workplace and goals

Meet inspiring women leaders and learn about the diverse career pathways available to enable and inspire women to follow their passion in sustainability

Build capacity for women working in a broad spectrum of careers related to sustainable built environments

Strengthen the network of women professionals and civil society leaders who share an interest in advancing the state of practice

The Women in Green breakfast will include concise and fast-paced PechaKucha presentations (20 slides for 20 seconds each) from some of Canada’s leading women in green and facilitated discussions that will demonstrate the value of mentorship and advocacy as effective tools for leading with purpose. Detailed program and speakers will be announced soon.
