About

The annual BUILD SASK GREEN Conference in the fall features education, training, and motivational sessions
on green building practices and trends. Attendees will learn from industry experts to enhance their knowledge
and build their professional relationships through networking opportunities.

In 2017, the BUILD SASK GREEN Conference will offer attendees current and relevant content on the
optimization of performance and operation of existing buildings and sustainable land use planning.

The Existing Buildings conference stream looks at carbon performance as a key metric in place of energy
performance and energy conservation measures that demonstrably lead to carbon savings, such as
re-commissioning to optimize the performance and operation of an existing building’s system and
deep energy retrofits to reduce energy consumption significantly.

The Sustainable Planning conference stream will explore creative green building solutions designed to meet
the challenges of urbanization, including the sustainable development and use of land, planning permission,
protection and use of the environment, and design strategies to balance science, aesthetics and community
interests in the planning of healthy urban environments.
