Our Chapters help deliver educational programming and play a key role in advancing the vision and mission of the CaGBC at the local level by engaging members and advocating their local government for greener buildings, cities and neighbourhoods.

Is your employer a CaGBC National Member? Employees of National Members (Advocate or Specialist) are entitled to a free Chapter membership*. If you are unsure of the current status of your employer's membership, browse our member directory.

Chapter Members fuel the grass root initiatives of Canada's green building communities. They leverage membership to develop professional connections within their local network and tap into the many resources available to them through education, networking events and local conferences.
Chapter Members are: individuals, not companies, who would like to be involved in the green building community at the local level.
Chapter Members may include: anyone interested in green building related to commercial, residential /homes, or neighbourhoods and communities including Emerging Green Professionals *.

EGP Members are the creative and outgoing future leaders of Canada’s green building industry. This membership level provides innovative young professionals with a voice, access to continuous learning, unique ways to make connections and opportunities to grow their careers.
EGP members may include: Full-time students, those that are 30 years of age or younger or new to the industry within five years who are committed to building a career in the Green Building industry.
Proof of eligibility will be required. Valid ID includes: Birth certificate, valid driver's license, student card or graduation certificate.
If you are an EGP employed by a National Member (Advocate or Specialist), your Chapter membership fee is complimentary. If you don't know the current status of your company's membership, please browse our list of current members here.

Emerging Green Professionals
Connecting with your local green building community just got a lot easier! Individual Chapter members and employees of Specialist and Advocate member companies have access to local benefits unique to their region and their Chapter including the benefits listed below. In addition, employees of CaGBC member companies who take advantage of their free Chapter membership in a Chapter of their choice will enjoy all the benefits of their employer's membership.
Vote on issues that impact the advancement of green building in your region: Chapter members, including EGPs, have voting rights at their local Chapter. Being counted, means you're being heard. Take advantage of this opportunity to help shape the focus and direction of green building practices and policy in your region at the grass roots level.
