BuildGreen Atlantic 2017

  • BuildGreen Atlantic NS – September 25, 2017 – World Trade and Convention Centre in Halifax, NS

BuildGreen Atlantic is our signature conference and trade show. Two versions of the conference will be executed in 2017. April 6, 2017 in St. John’s, NL and late September, early October, 2017 in Halifax, NS. Attracting green building professionals, the event includes pre-conference workshops as well as a keynote speaker and chapter education sessions.

BuildGreen Atlantic was held on April 6, 2017 at the Holiday Inn in St. John’s, NL, and will also be held on September 25, 2017 at the World Trade and Convention Centre in downtown Halifax. Both events will feature tradeshows and will attract the green building sector including architects, engineers, designers, policy makers as well as students.

CaGBC Atlantic Leadership & Green Building Awards 2017

The CaGBC Leadership Awards recognize individuals and organizations that have made a significant contribution to the CaGBC's mission and goals in advancing the green building industry in Atlantic Canada.

In order to better recognize leadership in its many forms, CaGBC Atlantic Chapter is proud to introduce an awards program that mirrors the national awards.  Regional winners will be submitted to the national award.   CaGBC invites all Chapter members to submit a nomination for the 2017 CaGBC Atlantic Chapter Leadership & Green Building Awards.

Nominations for the CaGBC Leadership & Green Building Awards will close on July 31, 2017.  Nominations will be evaluated by a panel of reviewers who represent the diversity of Atlantic Canada's green building industry and the unique award categories. Notifications will be sent to nominees by September 1, 2017.  Awards will be presented at BuildGreen Atlantic in Halifax on September 25, 2017

Green Jobs 101 - Speed Connecting

Green Jobs 101 – Speed Connecting, hosted by the Canada Green Building Council Atlantic Chapter and its Emerging Green Professionals group, is a networking event with an emphasis on the importance of environmental jobs and is a chance to see the different career options that exist for green jobs. Local green building and sustainability professionals to share "what they do" and "how they got there" with students and young professionals from across the region. The event is a "speed-dating" style event where every attendee will have 5- 7 minutes of one-on-one time with industry professionals.

The Atlantic Chapter offers a series of in person Lunch & Learn as well as 1/2 day, Full Day or 2-Day Workshops throughout the year. All of the education can be claimed as part of the GBCI LEED AP Credential Maintenance Program.
