The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is the national leader and expert in advancing the building industry toward Every Building Greener. CaGBC is the licensed provider of LEED®, WELL™ and other green building rating systems in Canada. We are seeking qualified mechanical engineers/technicians as:

LEED Reviewer I, Energy/HVAC

(Ottawa or Vancouver)

The LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Reviewer I is a member of a technical team conducting certification reviews of LEED projects in Canada, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness. The LEED Reviewer I reviews documentation for compliance with LEED; generates written reports; provides quality control review of the work by teams and colleagues; and, provides technical customer support.

If you …

  • Are a mechanical engineer/technician with at least 3 years of professional experience with high-performance building projects including LEED projects in Canada
  • Have direct experience consulting on, creating or reviewing at least 10 energy models for commercial projects
  • Are committed and passionate about green building as a solution to climate change
  • Thrive on quality and detail in reading specifications and drawings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical review of project documentation (including calculations and construction drawings) with LEED requirements
  • Quality control (QC) review of work done by others
  • Communicating technical subject expertise and advice to project teams
