The Canada Green Building Council (CaGBC) is the national leader and expert in advancing the building industry toward Every Building Greener. CaGBC is the licensed provider of LEED®, WELL™ and other green building rating systems in Canada. We are seeking green building professionals as:

LEED® Reviewer II & III, Energy/HVAC

(Ottawa, Vancouver, Toronto, or remotely within Canada*)

*in some cases arrangements can be made to work remotely

CaGBC is seeking experienced LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Reviewers and energy modelers at the intermediate/senior level as members of teams conducting certification reviews of LEED projects in Canada. The LEED Reviewer, Energy/HVAC serves as the energy/HVAC technical expert for the evaluation of projects pursuing LEED certification, including energy model reviews. LEED Reviewers draw on cross-cutting knowledge and direct experience with the LEED rating systems to serve as qualified assessors, technical resources and problem-solvers; and work on the leading edge of sustainable building design and research.

If you …

  • Are a mechanical engineer/technician with a background in building energy modelling, HVAC design and performing LEED reviews
  • Have at least 5-10 years professional experience (LEED Reviewers II/III respectively) in the field of Energy/HVAC
  • Have direct experience consulting on, creating or reviewing at least 10 energy models for commercial projects
  • Are committed and passionate about green building as a solution to climate change
  • Thrive on quality and detail in reading specifications and drawings

Key Responsibilities:

  • In-depth technical review of project documentation (including calculations and construction drawings) for compliance with LEED requirements and standards
  • Quality control (QC) review of work done by LEED review teams and colleagues
  • Communicating technical advice to project teams and the marketplace
  • Provide technical subject matter expertise in an aspect of the LEED rating systems
  • Provide technical advice in development and research opportunities
