We are seeking a dynamic professional to build membership and stakeholder engagement in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada’s largest market:

Chapter Program and Communications Manager

(one year contract)



CaGBC is seeking a high energy team player who will be responsible for the development and delivery of Chapter events and programs delivering value to Chapter members. This position is also responsible for Chapter communications and marketing and for establishing and maintaining membership and stakeholder relations. This key individual will work closely with Chapter and National staff colleagues in these key responsibilities:

  • Planning and Executing Chapter Events –managing venues logistics and speakers; sponsorship; marketing; coordinate volunteers; and event accounting.

  • Managing the annual Chapter Awards cycle - liaison with the Awards Committee; marketing; oversee the submissions and judging process; and the presentation of the award finalists on the website, video, and the CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter Gala

  • Manage the Chapter Leadership Board Annual Elections - marketing strategy, submission process, campaign period, voting period and the announcement of the new and outgoing Directors

  • Managing Chapter Marketing and Communications - writing and editing articles for FOCUS Magazine; monthly newsletter and events communication; oversee the website and social media platforms; create ads, posters and website banners for Chapter events; and representing the Chapter at trade show and industry events

  • Managing member relations – responding to inquiries; maintain the membership database; membership communications; membership campaign strategies
