

The CaGBC is pleased to officially announce the launch of a Higher Education Program into its Education and Training sector. The CaGBC recognizes that if fundamental building-industry transformation is to be accomplished that it must begin by educating university and college students; industry change will ultimately depend on the leadership of the green building professionals.
Due to the successful delivery of the 2009 Pilot program; the CaGBC will be offering the Building Green with LEED: LEED Canada Core Concepts and Strategies course to approved post-secondary institutions across Canada. This Higher Education initiative makes available the only CaGBC approved full-semester course for post-secondary education. The course, entitled; 'Building Green with LEED: LEED Canada Core Concepts and Strategies offers students and industry professionals a working knowledge of core concepts and strategies and is taught by CaGBC approved instructors.
There are currently eleven colleges and universities approved as Higher Education Providers with in Canada. Click here for a link to participating institutions.
Consistent with CaGBC’s desire to have a geographically diverse selection of institutions delivering the LEED Canada Core Concepts and Strategies course, CaGBC Higher Education is inviting universities and colleges interested in participating in the 2010 delivery to please download the Higher Education Application form.
