At long last the search for a new Executive Director for the Chapter has come to a close with the hiring of Lyle Shipley. Lyle has a background in sustainable development but his more recent career has been spent building business as an entrepreneur in the technology sector. He’s worked extensively with a range of organizations including our friends at the TRCA, Toronto Community Housing, ONPHA and CSA, helping them connect better with their stakeholders and to create new avenues for the knowledge sharing, collaboration and fundraising. He was also recently involved in the Cities of the Future project with PriceWaterhouseCoopers where he had a hand in the assessment of cities’ performance across a wide range of criteria including sustainability, environment and innovation. You will be hearing more from Lyle in the weeks to come.
