Eleanor McAteer

Senior Engineer, Energy Efficiency Office, City of Toronto

Eleanor McAteer is a Senior Engineer with the City of Toronto Energy Efficiency Office.  She graduated from the University of Toronto in Civil Engineering in 1984 and Schulich School of Business with a Master of Business Administration degree in 1991 and has been a Professional Engineer since 1986.  Eleanor is responsible for the Better Buildings Partnership - New Construction Program.  This work focuses on achieving the highest level of energy efficient design in new construction in the commercial, industrial and multi-unit residential sectors.  In senior management roles Eleanor collaborates with the private and public sectors in the regulation and approval aspects of building design and in environmental policy development and application.
