On May 7, 2008 FCM launched a call for applications for Green Municipal Fund (GMF) financing to support the implementation of energy efficiency retrofits to municipal buildings or the construction of new energy efficient municipal buildings.

GMF will award a total of up to $20 million in loans and up to $2.5 million in grants under this call for applications.

Eligible applicants can request up to $2 million in loans and $300,000 in grants for each project.

Funding is awarded through a competitive process: grants and loans will be allocated based on an independent ranking of the proposals. Not all proposals will be funded. 

All proposals must be received by 17:00 (EDT), on June 19, 2008.
