CaGBC B.C. Chapter welcomes Helen Phillips as Engagement Specialist
The CaGBC is pleased to welcome Helen Phillips as the new Chapter Engagement Specialist – B.C. Chapter. She will be instrumental in the re-establishment of the CaGBC Chapter in British Columbia, which aims to support the continued growth of the local green building market, providing support and advocacy for LEED and other CaGBC green building programs in the province. The Chapter will also continue to provide individuals with the opportunity to access local, relevant educational programming and events, networking, volunteering and leadership opportunities.
Helen holds a BSc, Masters and PhD qualifications in urban planning, urban design and climate change adaptation. Most recently, Helen has been consulting as HF Phillips Consulting, with previous experience working for municipal government, not-for-profits and in research both in Canada and Europe.
Leadership Board process will begin shortly
Over the next few months, the B.C. Chapter will be communicating about the next steps in a process to establish a Chapter Leadership Board for the B.C. Chapter. They will also continue to work to bring Canada's leading green building education and events to the region, and communicate these opportunities to members.
