Distinguish yourself with the CSBA designation while maintaining your current LEED credential

  • Are you challenged by the need to maintain your LEED credentials while you are busy working?
  • Are you finding it difficult to distinguish yourself among other green building professionals?
  • Are you confronted with rapid industry change specific to your geographic location and need to stay current professionally?
  • Are you a busy architect looking for a straightforward way to incorporate green building education into your core CEU credits?

The CaGBC’s Sustainable Building Advisor Program is ideal for LEED APs who wish to set themselves apart professionally. By expanding your training outside of LEED while concurrently achieving your LEED credential maintenance requirements, you will be distinguishing yourself from your peers.

Upon completion of the SBA program and CSBA Exam, students earn the designation of Certified Sustainable Building Advisor (CSBA), which is a well- recognized green building professional certification across North America. LEED-accredited professionals will also earn 100 CE credits towards their credential maintenance, and Canadian architects will be awarded core Continuing Education Learning Units in many provinces.

Our Sustainable Building Advisor program is flexible and custom-designed for each region to ensure the education provided is current and relevant to both the geographic location, and business opportunities in that area. The course has been structured over a nine-month period so that your current lifestyle and full-time work is not interrupted. It combines personal study time with just two days of group learning sessions.

This unique format provides an excellent interdisciplinary peer-to-peer learning environment, as well as a curriculum that includes presentations by Canadian expert instructors and guest speakers, hands-on learning with site visits to exemplary regional projects, and access to the latest in green building resources. And perhaps best of all, students become part of a local community and professional network of green building professionals with similar goals and ideals.

“This course has had an incredible influence over my life. It has given me the opportunity to really begin to see where my own strengths and weaknesses lay. In addition, it provided me with a path that will allow me to use my skills and be fulfilled as a person.”
~ Engineer, Abacus Engineering
