Emerging Green Builders (EGB) are the future of the green building development industry. The building design, development, and construction industries are undergoing a revolution towards resource efficient, environmentally friendly buildings and practices.
The Emerging Green Builder program is a resource for students and new professionals looking to become leaders of change in the green building industry.
Are you an EGB?
The Ottawa CaGBC Chapter is currently accepting EGB Committee applications. The EGB Committee helps to organize fun, informative and social events for students and new professionals interested in the Green building industry. This is a great opportunity to: get involved in the industry, network with others, and expand your knowledge of green building.

If you are a student, or a new professional within 5 years of graduation or 30 years of age or younger you are eligible for membership as an EGB.

CaGBC Ottawa Region Chapter Individual Emerging Green Builder (EGB) Membership
- $35/year plus HST – Students and young professionals
- CRITERIA: An EGB is under 30, a full-time student or a new professional within 5 years of graduation

To become an EGB member of the Ottawa Chapter, follow these 3 steps:
1. Create a member profile account on My CaGBC
2. Send us proof of age or student status* to the national Ottawa office,
attn: "EGB Application"

c) mail: 47 Clarence Street, Suite 202, Ottawa, ON K1N 9K1
3. Once you receive email confirmation from us that your profile has been
updated to EGB status (within 48 hours after we receive your verification),
log in to your My CaGBC profile and purchase your membership by selecting
the EGB membership option.
* Identification showing you are a student or new professional within
5 years of graduation, or, 30 years of age or younger.
