Sask Leadership Board Nominations
are now open!

The Saskatchewan Chapter of CaGBC is holding an election to fill 5 positions on the Chapter Leadership Board. The Leadership Board establishes regional priorities and initiatives, and contributes to the advancement of the nationwide mission and strategic goals by working collaboratively with CaGBC staff and the Chapter Advisory Committee (a Committee of the CaGBC Board of Directors), demonstrating strategic leadership, collective decision-making and representing a diversity of opinions and perspectives. 

Serving on the Chapter Leadership Board is a great way to get further involved in contributing to the transformation of the built environment at the regional level. Directors of the Leadership Board contribute to the goal of the Chapter to be a catalyst for green building and community development across Saskatchewan. The Chapter Leadership Board establishes regional strategies, initiatives and priorities, and contributes to the advancement of the nationwide mission and strategic goals by demonstrating strategic leadership, collective decision-making and representing a diversity of opinions and perspectives. As Chapters are part of the nationwide governance structure, the Chapter Leadership Boards have influence at the CaGBC Leadership Board level through representation on the Chapter Advisory Committee.

Call for Candidates

We are now accepting applications for 5 positions on the 2017 to 2018 Board. The deadline for receiving applications is March 5, 2017 midnight, CST.

The following seats are open:

Emerging Green Professional – 1 position for 1 year Term
Professional firm/agency (engineers/other) – 1 position for 2 year Term
Real estate owners, developers, managers – 1 position for 3 year Term
Construction/Manufacturing – 1 position for 3 year Term
Academia & Research (green building expertise) – 1 position for 3 year Term

2017 Call for Candidates  – includes information about the nominations and election process, responsibilities, time commitment and eligibility criteria; and,

Statement of Interest and Qualifications – standard self-nomination form for candidates to detail their background, skills and abilities.

Strong leaders meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to submit their application by March 5th, 2017 (midnight, Central Standard Time) to Applicants must be CaGBC Saskatchewan Chapter Members in good standing at the time of application.

Become a member

In addition to the numerous benefits associated with membership such as discounts on education and events, access to information and Canada's largest network of green building professionals, your membership plays a valuable role in the Council's advocacy work and development and deployment of green building education.

Joining the Saskatchewan Chapter is easy!

  1. If you are a current Chapter member and an employee of a CaGBC national member company your membership will automatically renew at the end of your term for FREE.
  2. If you are an employee of a CaGBC national member company, please make sure your CaGBC profile is linked to your employer to activate your free membership.
  3. If you are not an employee of a national member company you can join for $100 per year. Emerging Green Builders can join for just $35.

Become an Emerging Green Professional

Emerging Green Professionals (EGPs) are the future of the green building industry. Our EGPs organize educational and networking events that help to connect students and recent grads to CaGBC’s vast network of industry professionals.

You are eligible to become an EGP member of the CaGBC Saskatchewan Chapter if:

  • A full time student, or
  • 30 years of age or younger, or
  • New to the industry, and
  • Committed to building your career in the Green Building industry.
