2017 BC Chapter Leadership Board Election



The BC Chapter of CaGBC is holding an election to fill 3 positions on the Chapter Leadership Board. The Leadership Board establishes regional strategies, initiatives and priorities, and contributes to the advancement of the nationwide mission and strategic goals by working collaboratively with CaGBC staff and the Chapter Advisory Committee (a Committee of the CaGBC Board of Directors), demonstrating strategic leadership, collective decision-making and representing a diversity of opinions and perspectives. Serving on the Chapter Leadership Board is a great way to get further involved in contributing to the transformation of the built environment at the regional level. 

Call for Candidates

We are now accepting applications for 3 positions on the 2017 to 2018 Board. The deadline for receiving applications is March 5, 2017 midnight, PST).
The open seats are:

Real Estate Owners, Developers, Managers [3 Year Term]
Professional Firms –  Engineers [3 Year Term]
Government and Policy – Municipal/Provincial Government [2 Year Term]

2017 Call for Candidates   – includes information about the nominations and election process, responsibilities, time commitment and eligibility criteria;
Statement of Interest and Qualifications Form   – standard self-nomination form for candidates to detail their background, skills and abilities.

Strong leaders meeting the eligibility criteria are encouraged to submit their application by March 5th (midnight, Pacific Standard Time) to elections@cagbc.org. Applicants must be BC Chapter Members in good standing at the time of application.

Directors of the Leadership Board contribute to the goal of the Chapter to be a catalyst for green building and community development across British Columbia. The Chapter Leadership Board establishes regional strategies, initiatives and priorities, and contributes to the advancement of the nationwide mission and strategic goals by demonstrating strategic leadership, collective decision-making and representing a diversity of opinions and perspectives. As Chapters are part of the nationwide governance structure, the Chapter Leadership Boards have influence at the CaGBC Leadership Board level through representation on the Chapter Advisory Committee.
