Manager, Zero Carbon Buildings Program

CaGBC is seeking an agent for change to champion the CaGBC’s efforts to dramatically reduce GHG emissions from building operations and redefine how building performance is evaluated. The CaGBC’s Zero Carbon Buildings Program is at the heart of exciting, rapid changes in the industry and will drive energy efficiency and the adoption of clean energy across the commercial, institutional and high-rise residential sectors.

Based in Ottawa or Vancouver, the Manager, Zero Carbon Buildings Program will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, development and operation of the program and will represent CaGBC as a subject matter expert in ongoing dialog and consultation with industry, governments, utilities, other stakeholders and the media.

Who you are

You are a passionate and innovative leader and project manager with strong strategic and business planning skills and the ability to effectively develop and deliver programs to the green building industry. You possess 5+ years experience in sustainable building design/operation or a similar role, preferably with program development and/or delivery experience. You are knowledgeable of high-efficiency low-carbon building design/operations, preferably with knowledge of on-site and off-site clean energy procurement. You are familiar with the relevant industry policies and stakeholders.
